Invitation

Dear colleagues who are devoted to olives and olive oil,

Eleven (11) years ago, the Greek Olive Oil and Table Olive Festival, organized by members of the European Strategic Planning Organization's Scientific Committee, was held simultaneously with a congress that, although limited in number, had discussed scientific content since its inception. This festival and congress combination, which began with the aim of raising national awareness of olives and olive oil, Greece's most valuable and widespread agricultural products, has evolved into an international scientific congress event since its 10th congress. Our new goal is to bring together farmers from the Mediterranean basin, particularly from Greece and Türkiye, agricultural machinery manufacturers, olive oil production facilities, olive oil brands, and academics through these events. This aims to ensure that the ancient product knowledge passed down through generations to farmers is more strongly integrated and developed with technology and science. Our ancient civilizations place great importance on knowledge and science and their intertwined integration. The great philosopher and scientist Aristotle said: "Science is a wealth in good times, a refuge and a guide in bad times." With this in mind, we extend an invitation to the 11th Olive Oil and Table Olive Congress, which aims to bring together all stakeholders working in the olive and olive oil field (farmers, industry, distinguished scientists, and government officials).

The 11th Olive Oil and Table Olive Congress is being organized jointly by E.O.S.P EURO EXPO and ACG PUBLICATIONS, as in previous years. Congress proceedings will be published with doi numbers in the Congress Special Issue Abstracts Book. Authors who wish may prepare their full-text manuscripts according to the journal's rules and, provided they pass the peer review process, publish them free of charge in the Records of Agricultural and Food Chemistry journal.

We are proud to invite you, our valued scientists, to serve as members of the scientific committee at the 11th Olive Oil and Table Olive Congress, to be held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, on April 24-26, 2026. It is extremely important that you accept our invitation and participate in the congress with your fellow scientists.

We invite you, who are passionate about this field, to support our congress in pursuit of our greatest goal: to create a more responsible, more peaceful, more productive, and more scientific world in every respect, and to better understand the miracle of olive oil.
